Dear esteemed delegates and advisors, 

 

My name is Neel Trivedi, and I am honored to be the secretary of the first virtual Vista Model UN Conference. In February 2020, our world, as we knew it, stopped. Schools around the country and then later the planet began shutting down. As global tensions rose, our voices faded. The silence has gone long enough. 

 

Through VMUNC 1.5, we strive to provide our delegates with a fun yet insightful learning experience into how the United Nations works and how to debate. VMUNC was first created to train our delegates and delegates from other high schools about the MUN debate. Over the course of one day, you will gain experience and knowledge about MUN debate, allowing you to better your speaking skills and parliamentary procedure so that you are ready for any MUN conference. We will be hosting two committees this year for VMUNC 1.5, the World Health Organization (WHO), and the Avatar the Last Airbender committee. To succeed in these committees delegates must think outside the box and come up with resolutions that would effectively solve world issues. Registration for VMUNC 1.5 will open up mid-August and continue until September and will be under VMUNC> Registration on our website. Registration for this conference will be free.
